Celebrate National Tequila Day With A Fiesta!

It’s National Tequila Day on July 24th, and we’re dropping in to help you prepare a fiesta for the ages with top tequila and mezcal brands and menu ideas. Let’s get ready to party!

Teremana Tequila

Teremana Tequila

Teremana is the label from the all-around entrepreneur, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. His goal with the traditionally made tequila was to elevate the good times and hard work among family friends. To create a bottle that was there for all the moments and tasted good, too.

“Tere” is derived from the Latin word that means Earth, and “Mana” from the Polynesian word meaning spirit; thus, Teremana tequila is the Spirit of the Earth. This smooth and delicious bottle is made in the Jalisco Highland mountains of Mexico from the naturally sweet agave and cooked in traditional brick ovens.

  • The award-winning Blanco is made from 100% Blue Weber Highlands agave and tastes of pepper, cooked agave, and citrus.
  • The Añejo has notes of roasted agave, warm oak, and vanilla with a sweet finish.
  • The Reposado has notes of oaky vanilla and hints of bright citrus.

Ojo De Tigre

Ojo De Tigre

Ojo de Tigre is an Artisanal Mezcal that’s one of the new kids on the mezcal block, having launched in the U.S. in 2020. The premium label has already made a name for itself with multiple gold and platinum awards, including Gold at Spirits Business Tequila & Mezcal Masters 2022, Gold at IWSC Awards 2022, Platinum at SIP Awards 2022, and others.

The bottle is flavorful, lightly smoked, and made from two types of sustainably cultivated agave to create its signature smooth and balanced taste. It mixes well in a spicy mezcal margarita or your favorite Bloody Mary, or on the rocks as a premium sip.

Fiesta Menu Sampler

Let’s do it up right, friends!

  • Start with the chips! Buy your favorite bag or go for broke and fry or bake your own and dip in hot queso, guacamole, or fresh salsa. Or all three!
  • Grill up some street corn or elotes and top with cojita cheese and chili powder for that traditional street fare.
  • Fire up the BBQ and grill shrimp marinated in lime, avocado oil, garlic, chili powder, cumin, and salt. Add to tacos lined with cabbage, onions, and cilantro.
  • If baking is more your style, mix cooked, shredded chicken with green enchilada sauce, onion, and cheese, roll it up in 8-10 small tortillas, cover with more green enchilada sauce, and bake with a blanket of cheese for easy, tasty enchiladas.
  • Finish it all off with fried ice cream! Top vanilla bean ice cream with pre-mixed sugar and cinnamon.
